Overview
RCP Health is a multi-disciplinary clinic where practitioners work together to provide you with complete health care. We are committed to protecting your personal health information and handling it in a responsible and lawful manner.
All staff members who come in contact with your personal health information have signed a confidentiality agreement and are aware of the sensitive nature of this information. If you have any questions or complaints regarding the management of your personal information, please contact us.
What We Collect
Our Privacy Policy ensures that only the information necessary to provide you with care is collected. Specifically, we collect:
- Personal identification information (name, date of birth, contact details)
- Health history and medical records relevant to your treatment
- Insurance and billing information
- Communication preferences and appointment records
We collect only the minimum information necessary to deliver safe, effective, and coordinated care.
How We Use Your Information
Your personal health information is used to:
- Assess your condition, develop a treatment plan, and provide treatment
- Determine your eligibility for insurance benefits or other programs covering the cost of treatment

When We Share Your Information
RCP Health may share your personal information only where reasonably necessary, including with:
- Other healthcare providers who assess your condition or provide treatment to you, or who supply equipment, products, or services in support of your treatment
- Third parties such as insurers to determine eligibility for benefits or to obtain payment for services, products, or equipment
- Your legal representative if required in connection with any legal proceeding
- Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law — for example, where a regulatory college conducts an audit or where legislation requires disclosure
- Potential purchasers or advisors conducting due diligence in preparation for a practice sale
We will not share your information for any other purpose without your prior consent, except where permitted or required by law.
Communications
Telephone: Messages are received on our confidential voicemail, checked periodically throughout the day. We aim to return calls within 24 hours. We may contact you with appointment reminders, treatment information, or other health-related communications.
Email: We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information sent over the internet. If you choose to contact us by email, you assume the associated risks. Our email communications are limited to scheduling and billing matters.
Telehealth: On occasions where appropriate, we may use videoconferencing for consultation. While this offers convenience and accessibility, we cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be subject to unauthorized access during such sessions.
Marketing: We will only send newsletters or marketing emails with your explicit consent. You may opt out at any time by contacting us.
Storage and Retention
The storage, retention, and destruction of your personal information complies with applicable provincial and federal legislation, college regulations, and privacy protection protocols in effect in Ontario.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal health information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent for certain uses of your information (subject to legal or contractual restrictions)

Governing Legislation
RCP Health complies with the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) of Ontario and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) at the federal level, as applicable.
